We are about ONE week away from Clash in Paris, and things are coming fully to a head on Smackdown and Monday Night Raw! Don't forget that both shows are NOT in the US, and be sure to avoid spoilers. We've got a lot to talk about, so let's get into it!
-Kicking off Smackdown: Becky Lynch
I thought this was wonderful overall.. the way she was able to turn on the crowd so smoothly was too good. We did also see Tiffy join in on all the fun.. as well as Jade and Nia Jax. However, this did turn into a tag team match later in the night. I will say.. PLEASE don't let this be a thing were we get Nia and Tiffy again.. because I just can't deal with it. We've seen it.
-Melo Don't Miz vs. Motor City Machine Guns
I love it, but I don't at the same time. I LOVE MCMG and am so happy to see them weekly in some fashion.. but seeing them without a big story line...ugh... I do love the whole angle with Melo/Miz is pretty good as well. While the match was very good, we did see MCMG take the loss, and Miz/Melo will go on to face The Street Profits next week to see who faces Wyatt Sicks... Hmm.. could we see Miz and Dex face off once again?
-Charlotte Flair vs. Piper Niven
I actually enjoyed this match very much. The story line has been pretty good and I see where this could be going down the road.. esp with Chelsea Green being in the story as well. What I didn't expect was Charlotte taking the loss on this one. But.. now we will see Piper/Alba face Alexa and Charlotte for the tag team titles (I think next week)... so this should be very good! Could we be seeing the start of the end.. of Char/Alexa sooner than later?
-John Cena's Farewell to Ireland
There isn't much to say about this segment.. other than... if you haven't seen this, then you should. It was SO good, and going into it.. I didn't expect it to be. While it wasn't a popular opinion for Logan to face off with Cena.. it is going better than I originally thought. Maybe they can make something really good out of this after all?
-Street Profits vs. MFTs
The match itself was pretty good, nothing major.. but it did stand out a bit in my opinion. We did see Big Jim and Sami come out to even the odds.. and in the end it was Street Profits that picked up the win to face off with Melo/Miz... So this leads me to think, where else are we going with this? Sami for US Champ? Big Jim? It's been reported The Wyatt Sicks will be facing off with MFT soon.. so how will that start? Melo/Miz get the win and face off before an attack from Wyatts? Street Profits win.. and MFT get involved? I just hope it's good...and makes sense.
-Aleister Black vs. Damian Priest
Well.. the match never really started. It was suppose to be Truth.. but he ended up in Dublin.... Georgia.... too funny.
As soon as DP hit the ring.. madness took place. It didn't last very long, and we know there will be more down the line with these two. While "silly" Truth is back.. I hope they will still use him more. After all the craziness of that, we saw Drew give a promo on Cody...and Randy made his return to take him out. I thought this was a very good set up, and leaving Cody alone.. for a little while longer. I think this might the be time Drew actually wins the title, and he will 110% deserve it.
-Nia Jax and Becky Lynch vs. Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill
Wasn't a huge fan of this match overall, but it wasn't terrible. We did see Nia and Becky working together, and in the end it back fired due to Becky leaving Nia high and dry.. we did see Tiffy/Jade pick up the win after that. So.. I am guessing after Nia.. we will see Jade go for the title once more? I'm not a fan, but at the same time I am more than willing to give Jade the chance.
**After the match we see John Cena backstage and while Nick Aldis appeared saying he talked to Brock.. Logan Paul attacked Cena.
Overall: 7.2/10
