WWE Monday Night Raw Rundown

We are so close to the road to Wrestlemania! We are a little over a month away from the Royal Rumble and things are getting HOT! Our next big WWE program will be Monday Night Raw: One Year on Netflix and things could change in a big way. Let's not forget outside of that.. we do have an AEW PPV in a few weeks as well. We have a lot to talk about from Raw, so let's get into it! Kicking off: Gunther After his win over Cena in his final match.. things were up to 11 with this opening. I don't give a damn what anyone says.. this was amazing. You can hate Gunther all you like (or even Triple H) but that doesn't change that he is now one of the best in the business. I love this for him. I love the "I don't give a shit" attitude.. the arrogant vibe, and the shit eating smile. It's perfect and I can't wait to see where go with this next. I did see them teasing AJ Styles... which would be pretty damn good as well.  The Usos vs. New Day I don't like it. We...

WWE Monday Night Raw (Sept 9th) Rundown/Review

Oh man, what a day it was yesterday. Between ABA therapy for my son, and MNR.. it was one heck of a time. We've got ALOT to unpack and announcements coming up in this blog.. so let's get things going!

-We kicked off Monday Night Raw with one of the most amazing recaps with The Wyatt Sicks and American Made. This was leading up to the 1st match of the night in a 8 person Street Fight! This match was a lot more than I thought it was going to be. It was very energetic and insane in some spots.. but overall very good. We didn't see (for most of the match) Uncle Howdy.. however he did face off for a moment with Chad as he gave him a Sister Abigail to end the match. Are we going to see ONE final match at Bad Blood between the two? After this week.. we will have about 2ish weeks until BB, so this is very possible. Uncle Howdy and Chad Gable have only gone 1v1 once.. I have also seen where Chad could very well want to face Bo Dallas, but only time will tell. I wouldn't mind seeing either one. This would be Bo Dallas's first PPV match since 2019 I do believe.

-Finn Bálor Promo

Up next we saw Finn come to the ring alone.. which raised red flags immediately. He called out DP and accused him of costing him his title match, not allowing him to get ahead in the following year. It wasn't long until we saw Damian come out to exchange a few words too. However, this wouldn't last long as he was attacked by the rest of the Judgement Day. Of course, we see Mami come to the rescue but in the end were over powered. Jey did come out but the damage was already done. I thought it was too perfect for DP to cover and protect Mami from the beat down. While I am still not a huge fan of Liv/Dom situation.. this overall fued has been so good with the story telling. Maybe it's growing on me. ;)

**Announcement: During the show Joe Tessitore had revealed that starting October 7th until the end of the year that Monday Night Raw will be moving to TWO HOURS. This is wild, as it has been talked about for years.. I really hope with their large roster, it can be pulled off.

-WWE Women's Tag Team Championship: Belair and Cargill vs. Unholy Union

The match was good, however.. I am just not a fan. Don't get me wrong, I love Belair/Cargill and I love Unholy Union.. but this feud and story line just hasn't made me very happy overall. I feel that Belair/Cargill are so good together and their matches are fun.. I just wish Unholy Union was given a better chance. Moving forward I hope there are some more women teams that are able to really give it all they have for something maybe a little different?

-Bret Hart's WWE Return

It was so GOOD to see Brett at Raw. He joined Joe and Wade for the special announcement at WWE will be coming to Vancouver in November for Survivor Series. However this celebration didn't last long because out came Gunther.  I POPPED when Gunther told Brett his favorite wrestler was Bill Goldberg. I was dying.. Not long after that we saw Sami Zayn make his way to the ring to do his best to change Gunther's mind about the challenge he laid out last week. Words were exchanged and a fight broke out among the two..In the end it was Sami that was standing tall. Are we going to see Sami and Gunther face off once more? Hmm..

-Dragon Lee vs. Dominik Mysterio

I wasn't thrilled with this match, but didn't feel that it was awful or anything. I really enjoy seeing Dragon Lee on Raw and hope to see him more as time goes on. In this match, Liv Morgan was pretty involved which resulted in Dom picking up the win.

-Lyra Valkyria, Natalya and Zelina Vega vs. Pure Fusion Collective

Okay..I cannot stand Pure Fusion Collective. I don't like the name, and I don't like their slogan... "Shoot your shot" STOP IT.. it's very cringe in my opinion.. sue me. However, it was very touching to see Nattie again as she made her return after a two month break. The pop for her arrival was very touching and much deserved. I thought the match itself was pretty good, nothing too huge but very good. I wouldn't mind seeing Lyra/Nattie/Zelina work together more often.. as they did pick up the win as well!

-Drew McIntyre Promo

We saw Drew come out for a promo but it wasn't too long before we saw Adam Pearce come out with him. CM Punk wasn't there (and it was noted that he had previously asked off for Sep 9th already) but that didn't stop Drew from going on and on. The announcement was made that this was enough and there needed to be ONE MORE MATCH.. this would come in the form of Bad Blood.. HELL IN A CELL! That match it going to INSANE. In a strange turn of events, we did see another angle get brought to light and that is Drew and Wade. Wade did his best last week to prevent Drew from attacking Punk but of course Drew did it anyway. Drew brought this up to Wade and things got personal and intense real quick. Could we see the two in a feud sooner than later? I wouldn't mind at all!

-Rey Mysterio vs. Finn Bálor

I love these two working together but it just fits so well. I thought overall this match was pretty good, and was a very eventful night for Finn. Not only getting the promo, but the upper hand with the Terror Twins. In the end, Finn got the win and continued on to what is next for the Judgement Day leading up to Bad Blood in just a couple of weeks.

-Fatal 4-Way No. 1 Contender Match

I honestly didn't know what to think of this match going into it. I couldn't decide who would win overall because all four men are so good and over at this point. I will stop and say that either of these men would put on ONE HELL of a match with Bron. This match went above and beyond in my opinion and blew me out of the water. It was VERY good! But in the end, it was Jey Uso that has the win and will go on to face Bron Breakker for his title. I can't wait for this!

Overall: 9.1/10

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

UP NEXT: We have the fall out from All Out!

-Will we see Mariah May in a new feud?
-Will Toni be returning anytime soon?
-Britt Baker??
-Who will be the next to face Mercedes Mone?
-With MJF out, who will Danny face?
-If Swerve is out for a while, will Hangman feud with Danielson?
-We will hear from Mox and the BCC after their turn on Danielson.

SO much going on and I can't wait!

We also have the season premier of Smackdown on USA on Friday!

xoxo,
Chels

WWE Monday Night Raw Rundown

I'll tell you what.. I guess that tweet wasn't lying about Monday Night Raw...IYKYK. We've got A LOT to talk about.. and a crash out is on the horizon.    -Kicking off Monday Night Raw: Liv Morgan Liv Morgan came to the ring with Dom to give a promo, explaining her actions last week with Nikki Bella. In this, she also called out Iyo Sky.. and she wants another title shot. Iyo came to the ring as well, and it all but seemed like this was a story ready to kick off.  -Ivy Nile vs. Stephanie Vaquer vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. Asuka (Queen of the Ring) This match was SO much better than I thought it was going to be overall. I really had this match between two women, and that was Vaquer and Asuka. All women did wonderful, and work so well together. We did see Rhea come out and cost Raquel in return from Rhea's match. And in the end, it was Asuka that got the win! She will now face Alexa Bliss this Friday! That match.. should be very good. It will be interesting t...

WWE Monday Night Raw Rundown/Review

What a time, everyone. I have been going going going for the last week or so.. so much that I haven't blogged. I hate when I have to skip weeks, but to be honest... sometimes it is like that. We've got a lot to talk about, so let's get into it! -Kicking off Raw: Rhea Ripley We love Mami.. and she is MAD. Rhea addresses the attack of Asuka from last week.. which of course resulted in Iyo to come out as well. It wasn't long until Asuka and Kairi made themselves known and a brawl was set. This time.. it was Iyo that was misted by Asuka. My guess is that we are going to see some tag team action much sooner than later. I enjoyed this very much overall.. and am pretty happy that we are having Rhea and Iyo set away from the title action. But the question is.. when it is all set and done, are we going to see Rhea or Iyo turn on one another in a shocking turn of events? -Intercontinental Championship: Dominik Mysterio vs. Rusev I won't lie.. I was a little shocked about this...

Summer Slam Night 1 AND Night 2 Results/Reaction/Review

Summer Slam has come and gone.. and BOY... did we have one hell of a time. We've got a lot to talk about, so let's get into it!  Night 1: -Roman Reigns and Jey Uso vs. Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed This kicking off was pretty good in my opinion. While I do think the match wasn't one to blow your mind... it was still pretty dang good overall. In the end, we did see Roman and Jey pick up the win. This isn't what I thought would happen, but it is understandable moving forward (esp after watching Monday Night Raw). -Judgment Day (c) vs. Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair -Women's Tag Titles This match was pretty solid over all. All women did wonderful together and I enjoyed it! I feel like this match had so much on it in the first place, and there were so many people getting their hopes up for a Liv pop up. Sadly, that did not happen. We however.. did see Alexa and Charlotte pick up the win to win the tag titles! I am so happy for both women and hope they do this story ri...
