We are TWO weeks away from Bad Blood and things are heating up. I am still a little upset that Bad Blood will be starting (in my area) at 5pm... but oh well. We are usually not even eating dinner at that time, but we will be making it work. Last night's Smackdown was something else, and we've got a lot to talk about.. so let's get into it!
-LA Knight vs Andrade (for the United States Championship)
One thing about this match. Super high energy. You could tell the importance of this match, and I loved it.. at first, I wasn't too sure but it grew on me. A couple of times during this match, I was convinced we were going to be seeing a new champion.. but thankfully I was wrong. LA picked up the win! Bravo to both men!
-Roman Reigns/Cody Rhodes promo package
Woah. This was pretty damn good. Like.. fabulous, give me 14 good. Going into it, I wasn't exactly sure where it was going, but wow.. Can Cody and Roman work together? Are we going to see a major turn of one of the two? Only time will tell, I guess. If you haven't watched this, please do.
-Apollo Crews vs. Giovanni Vinci
What in the Mississippi flap-jacks are y'all doing with this man? The hype. The video packages. Then you make this man lose like this twice? Please let this turn into something good, because at this point I am disgusted. Either don't use him, or book him better. This isn't just a Vinci thing, I'd feel this way with anyone.. I am just not a fan of this angle.
*We (once again) saw Hayes and Andrade backstage. Words were exchanged and the fight began. That looked real, so real in fact that my husband was like "oh shit". Lol! These two could fight forever in my opinion. Round 6? Let's got!
*Backstage: We saw KO looking pretty upset after watching the video package of Roman and Cody. He went to the ring to give his thoughts but.. of course The Bloodline came out (besides Solo). Who gave that man a mic? And why.. because I was dying. I read on Twitter that someone said Tama had "big Beavis energy and honestly... I get it. Also.. I was in tears over that. DIY came out to help in the end. Nick was ready with security and made it official that there would be a six-man tag match for the main event. *insert eye roll here*
-Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton vs. Bayley and Naomi
I wasn't sure about this match. I thought I would love it,but something about it seemed a bit off. Some confusion maybe? Maybe it was suppose to be that way due to the stipulation? Regardless, it wasn't awful. It was pretty tense, seeing that if Bayley/Naomi lost.. they would be leaving Smackdown. And also... with the tension between Nia and Tiffy. That turn HAS to be coming sooner than later. Bad Blood maybe? Anyway.. in the end (in a not so shocking turn of events) Bayley AND Naomi pinned Nia. Triple threat? I could see it. But then it was announced backstage that NEXT week it will be Bayley vs Naomi for the opportunity to face Nia at Bad Blood. I don't like this really.. but that just me. Bayley just had the title taken off of her, and Naomi.. I just personally didn't like her as champ. I'm not saying she isn't good, she is very good.. just not my cup of tea. Regardless, I hope the match is good/works out.
-Street Profits and Kevin Owens vs. Bloodline
Like clockwork, DIY was taken out by The Bloodline so it was Street Profits that came in for the same. I saw ALOT of people saying that it didn't make sense.. but it does. A couple of weeks ago, The Bloodline cost SP at NXT when they had their title match. I can imagine they were looking for revenge. I can also see where people wouldn't see that, I personally didn't watch NXT.. but had seen it on Twitter the night of. In the end, it was mas chaos. The matched ended in no contest after the ref lost control. This resulted in more madness... as DIY came out "injured" to help as they could. Not only after Cody came to help as well. At the end of the show it was Cody Rhodes and KO that stood tall in the ring. It seemed KO was ready to attack Cody.. but didn't. They shook hands (delayed) and Kevin looked pretty upset. I am FULLY convinced that Cody is going to be the one to turn heel. You cannot convince me otherwise. Let me explain: Okay.. so everyone expects Roman to be the one turn on Cody because he wants the title back. It's been expressed that Cody's run has been lackluster since Mania. Everyone expects KO to turn on Cody due to not being able to win the title from him and being bitter. No one expects Cody to be the one to be heel and basically lose his shit. It's the small things... Cody said last week he was DONE with the Bloodline yet... he is right in the middle of it by the end of the night. WHAT. You can't tell me something isn't up.
Just let me be delusional. Thank you.
