Is it me, or does it feel like Clash at the Castle was months ago? Either way, it's been a heck of a time this week so let's get into it!
This week, Smackdown was in Chicago, home of CM Punk! So it was no shock when his music hits and the crowd goes wild! We started also with showing the outcome of the final moments of CATC and the fall out resulting Drew's sudden quit on Monday Night Raw. Of course, there was a good speech and smack talk before Punk was interrupted by Paul Heyman. After a little small talk, it was down to business. Heyman let Punk know he was doing him a favor, and also needed to cash in a favor as well. Heyman was warning Punk, and said he needed to leave otherwise The Bloodline was going to come out and attack him. About that time, Solo, Tama, and Tanga Loa came out to claim their respect from Punk. Basically if Punk didn't show his respect or acknowledge them, they would take him out. I thought it was a little funny when Punk asked Heyman what his favor way, and Heyman said he wanted to go with him if he left. This character right now, is GOLD and I honestly feel it will be amazing when Roman does come back. Punk did stand his ground during this until Cody Rhodes showed up with baseball bats. Thus setting up a match for the main event!
Up Next: Bianca Belair vs Chelsea Green vs Michin (Money in the Bank Qualify Match)
Was it me or was there a back hand comment between Bianca and Jade? Or did I hear things wrong? Regardless, this match was pretty dang good. It did however take me by surprise in the end. I loved the chemistry of all three ladies and felt the crowd was behind it. In the end, after a KOD by Belair, Chelsea stole the win and pinned Michin! My husband totally called it, and we were thrilled for her! I am so excited to see her in the MIB match!
Up Next: Carmelo Hayes vs Randy Orton vs Tama Tonga
I totally called this match before it even happened. It's no secret that I cannot stand the "new" Bloodline, so when I noticed Randy and Tama in the same match.. it was for sure a set up for both of them to lose. We did see Tama and Melo work together but of course that fell apart pretty quickly. At the end, we saw Kevein Owens and Loa fight at ringside. This allowed a bit of a distraction for Randy, resulting in a roll up allowing Melo to gain the win. It also seemed a bit less than the previous match, also expected but.. I'll pick my battles.
-BACK UP A LITTLE:
Before that match, we saw a backstage segment. In this it is revealed a bloody and beaten CM Punk, and none other than Drew McIntyre! I didn't expect to see him THIS soon, but I loved it. Drew picked up Punk and carried him to the front stage where he dropped his body off. The crowd's reaction was WILD and I was loving it. Drew then took a bracelet from Punk, some are saying it had his wife Aprils name and his pup dog Larry. Things are heating up! Will we be seeing something at MIB or will they wait until Summer Slam or the unannounced Bad Blood?
Up Next: Grayson Waller vs Kevin Owens vs Andrade
Let's be brutal for a second. I love me some KO, and feel he deserved it. I felt the same about Randy. But we kinda already knew there was going to be some foolery. Like clockwork, I was right. Loa and Tama attacked Owens, but it wasn't long until Randy came out with a chair to get them away. It was clear that Kevin was limping to the ring. The match was good, I'll give it that. But in the end, Andrade got the win by pinning Waller.
Up Next (Main Event) Cody Rhodes vs Solo
I wasn't too happy about this being the main event, but I understand what they are doing to set it up for the future. The match itself did not last but a few moments before the rest of the Bloodline came in to cause a DQ. You see what I mean? I don't like that. Regardless, it was a set up for what was to come. It appeared to be a 3 on 1 situation with Randy and Owens at Cody's side, however we started to see Solo start laughing. Suddenly we see an attack on all three. I thought it was Jimmy at first, but quickly realized it was not. It was announced that it was none other than Jacob Fatu. Again, I was not happy. While I have heard good things about Jacob previously, this just added more onto the Bloodline. It does make me wonder what they heck they will be doing in months to come, and what they will be setting up.
The episode ended with all four members of the Bloodline being showcased.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
I think this episode was hyped up big time for many reasons. Not only was it a homecoming for Punk, but there was a lot of talk about the Wyatt Sicks. They did a good job at really making sure the body guards were noticed, and we even saw a clip of Pluto on doors. Things did point at the Wyatt Sicks making an appearance, but sadly.. they did not. This makes me wonderful if they will fully be on Monday Night Raw, or will be be a full on surprise attack when they do attack. Only time will tell.
I feel like this Smackdown was good overall, and gave a big push into what is to also come at MIB on July 6th! We are two weeks away and cannot wait to see how they build it up on Monday.
Also.. did everyone see that weird video from Adam Pearce?? Apparently Chad Gable isn't dead, and he IS cleared to wrestle on Monday. Hmm.. will we see more of the massacre?
until next time,
Chels
